Hospice & Respite Care

Respite Care

Providing care for a loved one, so they may remain at home, brings great joy for many families, but also comes with many challenges.  Without proper support, the caregiver may experience physical and emotional challenges of their own, which oftentimes can become overwhelming.  Respite care at SNRC offers a safe, warm, and comfortable environment for your loved one. It also provides you with a reprieve from the daily challenges, and an opportunity to ensure your own well-being, by giving you time to rest, rejuvenate, and replenish.

Respite care can be for as little as a few days or as long as several weeks.

With this program, your loved one will enjoy the following:

  • A furnished, comfortable, homelike room with meals included

  • Competent, professional, caring nurses and certified nursing assistants maintaining all care needs

  • Restaurant or home style dining

  • Specialized activities

  • Medication management

  • New friendships

Hospice Care

Hospice care focuses on comfort, dignity and compassion. It is the belief that end of life is a human experience – not just a medical experience – that benefits from expert holistic and medical support.  Hospice’s goal is to enable residents to be as comfortable and content as possible.

We collaborate with several excellent hospice programs, and will provide you information to help you choose the program you and your loved one feel most comfortable with.  Hospice services, having a multi-disciplinary approach, compliments the care your loved one is already receiving from SNRC and can include such services as pain management, family support and bereavement services.
